Clinic Services

The Lee County Health Department’s Clinic Services are located at various sites throughout Lee County. Please click here (link to site page) to see our site map. We accept Medicaid, Private Insurance and our services are based on a sliding fee scale for self paying patients. Please bring a photo ID, any insurance cards, proof of address, for example a current utility or telephone bill in your name, and income verification. Immunizations are FREE for children under age 18 and the only cost for adults is the cost of the vaccine.

In addition, our Family Planning services offer a variety of current methods of birth control (please link to method links on Women’s Health Page) such as natural family planning, male and female condoms, diaphragms, vaginal rings (as available),spermicides such as film and foam, oral contraceptives, intra-uterine devices (IUD) and Depo shots. Confidential pregnancy testing is also available. We do not provide abortion services or counseling.

Women’s Health provides family planning, cancer and sexually transmitted disease screenings, as well as treatment for uncomplicated gynecological problems through our clinic. We also provide further diagnostic testing in the event of abnormal PAP smears.

We do not see clients for prenatal care, those who have had their tubes tied or have had a hysterectomy. You may call Family Health Centers at (239) 332-0417 or Planned Parenthood at (239) 481-9999.

Dental Services

Project Dental Care is a program for Lee County residents ages 10 through Adult. Local dentists volunteer their services one day a week to do basic fillings and extractions. People wanting to go through the program must first fill out an application to determine eligibility, based on income and family size. STD Services

The Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Intervention Program (link to STD Lee page) is responsible for the investigation, control, and prevention of STDs in Lee County. We provide many services including testing and screening for STDs. For clients who test positive for an STD, we offer medical care and treatment through our clinic sites. In addition, contact investigations are conducted for all confirmed cases to identify and test sexual partners who may have been exposed or infected. Finally, the STD Intervention Program provides outreach services to help educate the community about reducing the risks for STD.

The Lee County Health Department is committed to providing quality HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis services to the community. We offer testing and health

Tuberculosis (TB) Program

The Tuberculosis (TB) Control Program (link to TB Lee page) is responsible for identifying and treating all active cases of TB. We are also responsible
for testing and offering treatment to those who may have been exposed to an active case of TB.
